CML Connect is a new web based software product, currently in the development phase, which is designed to accommodate the local accounting and administrative requirements of a geographically distributed multi-branch estate agency business. The product will reduce overall business system costs together with increasing administrative efficiency and improving local management information availability. From a capital cost perspective the product will remove the need to distribute expensive accounting software around the branch network thereby minimizing the required investment in the firms accounting system solution.
The primary functions of the product are:
Office fee invoices, purchase orders and purchase invoices – processed locally in the branch and passed electronically to the central accounts system. Original documentation is retained locally and scanned document images attached to the electronic record. Full integration with the disbursement ledger too administer client costs and for onward billing. On-line transaction approval processes for local and central management.
Employee expenses and time recording - processed locally at the branch by employees with the transaction being passed electronically to the central accounts system. Original documentation is retained locally. On-line transaction approval processes for local and central management.
Local reporting – debtor, creditor, expenses and disbursement reporting directly available to local management via CML Connect.
In addition to the accounting and administrative features CML has also integrated a Contact Relationship Management (CRM) system. The CRM becomes a valuable business wide point of contact information with the ability to represent the extended relationships which exist within the property industry. Management will be able to see at a glance the size and value of the firm’s industry contacts and from that improve communication with clients and contacts.
CML will deploy CML Connect in a fast growing multi branch estate agency business during the autumn of 2006 when there is expected to be further development to include additional product features.
